June 17, 2008 Bend, Oregon - After the DAR inspection earlier today, N388AB earned its Certificate of Airworthiness. Alan Barron and John Spencer were happy to gain approval from the FAA, and they are anxiously awaiting first flight of their Epic LT.

"For me as the pilot, the climb rate (3,000 ft/min), full fuel payload (1,500 lbs.) and the speed of this airplane is exciting! To blast through and avoid the hot rough summer days in less than eleven minutes is huge for my wife. Level off at 28,000 feet and you are your way to nearly four hundred miles per hour within a few minutes. From my home base in Fort Worth, Texas, I will be able to get to either coast, Southern Mexico or Canada in less than three hours. For my kids and friends that fly with me, there is a sense of comfort and confidence when they see the bright, three screen, state-of-the-art glass panel avionics. Add to that the air conditioned cabin, the built in DVD players and the plush leather seats, the Epic LT will be hard to beat.  Incredible, luxurious airplane."
-Alan Barron,

"We're not going to discriminate between turbofans and turboprops," he added. "Anyone who can break through 500 mph mark can join the club."

November 2, 2007 Omaha, Nebraska -
After completing flight testing and pilot training, Harlon Hain flew 454RM from our facility in Bend, Oregon to its home in Omaha, Nebraska. Hain delivered the aircraft and presented the keys to Roland Manarin who was celebrating his birthday. The LT immediately grabbed the attention of multiple onlookers including this gentleman who dropped us a quick email with his impressions of Epic LT Number 14:

I just wanted to write a note stating what a beautiful aircraft you have produced! Roland Manarin of Omaha just arrived with his Epic and everyone is extremely impressed by its lines and performance.  It proudly shines in comparison to the Eclipse it shares a hangar with at Millard airport.

I believe you have a winning aircraft design reminiscent of the P-51, form and function at its finest! As a former Citation Delivery Coordinator, I can tell you first hand the fit and finish of your aircraft is phenomenal. Good luck selling your aircraft, although I do not believe you will need any.

With kind regards,

LT Number 14 Takes Maiden Flight
454RM Takes To The Skies

September 19, 2007 Bend, Oregon -
Another LT has joined the fleet of Epic turboprops. 454RM was granted an airworthiness certificate yesterday afternoon, and this morning Epic LT Number 14 flew for the first time. Now that Mr. Manarin will be flying an Epic LT, his Lancair is looking for a new hangar.

"Thanks Epic, I'm impressed with the professional assistance you have given me and my crew in building this strong and safe airplane. I finally have a plane large enough to take friends, family, luggage, full fuel and go most places non-stop. And now I can have my coffee in the mornings since this plane has that very important facility installed."

Roland R Manarin
President
Manarin Investment Counsel, Ltd.

"Helping in the build process of Epic LT 454RM was a truly rewarding experience.  However, the building process does not compare with the exhilaration of flying this true performance aircraft with a three screen Garmin panel. It has the power and performance to take a full load (6 people, their luggage and full fuel) and go the distance. A very positive handling aircraft in all phases of flight. A pilots dream, it looks and flies like an aircraft should."

Epic VLJs Unveiled During AeroShell Square Press Conference
Single-Engine Victory VLJ Makes History

July 23, 2007 Oshkosh, Wisconsin - Three months ago, Rick Schrameck, Epic CEO and President, stood in front of a crowd at the Sun'n Fun Fly-In as he unveiled a ten foot model of the all new single-engine Victory VLJ. Few people believed Epic would reach the lofty goal of flying the newly released jet to AirVenture 2007. With the clean sheet design in hand mid-December 2006, Epic set forth to make aviation history: to fly the Victory to AirVenture 2007 in only7 months time.

Today, amid a large gathering of media and aviation enthusiasts, Schrameck made good on his promise. Not only did the Victory make it to Oshkosh, the twin-engine Elite VLJ also made the show. Schrameck credited the accomplishment to Epic's world class engineering and manufacturing teams. "To take a clean sheet design and turn that piece of paper into a flying aircraft in only 6 and half months, speaks volumes about Epic," stated Schrameck.

At the press conference, Schrameck also announced the Victory will be outfitted with the Pratt & Whitney PW615. "P&WC's market-leading PW600 engine family is the perfect choice for the Victory VLJ," said Schrameck. "We have selected a PW615 variant to power the current Victory VLJ, with the goal of developing a PW617-powered, fully certified version of the Victory."

After the press conference, both the Victory and Elite impressed the AirVenture crowd with multiple fly bys. To read more about the event, Click Here to Read the Entire Press Release.

"I've always said that Epic has the best engineers and manufacturing talent in the world, and I think this clearly proves it!"

The single-engine Victory and the twin-engine Elite jets are scheduled to fly into Oshkosh's Whitman Field to give the aviation world a first look at the two newest members of the growing Epic family of aircraft on Monday, July 23rd, 2007. "Finally an aircraft has arrived that you can fill the tanks and fill the seats too! Luxury and Jet Speeds at a fraction of the cost. Performance, Beauty and Comfort are not the only criteria one should bestow upon this aircraft. Is there anything else? I believe that Epic may have designed the ultimate aircraft. It is difficult to compare the performance and features of other manufacturers airplanes because nothing really comes close. The Genie definitely granted the LT all three wishes."

Epic Stuns Crowd at Sun'n Fun
Florida Impressed By Epic Performance

April 21, 2007 Lakeland, Florida -
Epic surpised the Sun'n Fun crowd with an incredible display of VLJ performance. Following the Eclipse 500 VLJ fly by, the LT's powerful PT6-67A thundered over the crowd with 1200hp of Epic Performance. The LT exhibited an estimated 12,000 foot per minute climb from a 300mph fly by. The Navy's F-18 Hornet impressed us with an Epic-like fly by, climbing out at 30,000+ feet per minute, at mach .99. After the fly by, we were lucky enough to meet two of the F-18 pilots. They visited us at the Epic display to comment on the impressive LT performance. One pilot commented he was envious of the Epic pilots because they have the ability to fly their family in LT, while the F-18, obviously does not allow the same freedom. It can be said that the Epic LT eclipses the competition, even the F-18 Hornet.

Bill Elliott's Epic LT Takes Flight
Tenth LT Receives FAA Amateur-Built

April 12, 2007 Bend, Oregon -
Just yesterday 9BE achieved FAA Amateur-Built Status, and this morning a very excited Bill Elliott watched as his aircraft took off for the first time.

"I have flown many aircraft in my 30 years of flying, but none can compare to the Epic LT. After many months of work and help from Epic, I received my Airworthiness Certificate and we started the flight testing. This has been the most enjoyable time of my life seeing the Epic come together and being able to see first hand what the awesome aircraft can do, from the first take off you don't want to come down. The flight controls are very balanced and the ability to have such a wide range of speed from slow flight to cruise. This is the most impressive aircraft I have ever flown. Rick and Dave and all the employees at Epic, you have a winner in the Epic LT. You should be proud of what everyone has done." -Bill Elliott

LT Proves Payload and Short Field Capabilities

February 19, 2007 Palo Alto, California - Over the holiday weekend Jeff Sanders, Epic AIR partner and LT owner/pilot, flew C-FJRQ with a sizeable payload: five passengers, full baggage and ski gear. The aircraft departed from Palo Alto (PAO) and arrived at the San Luis Regional Airport (SBP) only 33 minutes later. This is a true testament to the LT's useable payload and short field capabilities, which are virtually unattainable by other VLJs.

FAA Grants Another LT Amateur-Built Status
351BM Takes To The Skies For The First Time

Shortly after the inspection, 351BM successfully completed its first flight and will now enter the flight testing program at the Epic facility. Mr. McCormick and Mr. Beyer are anxiously awaiting pilot training so they will be able to fly their Epic home.

"Now that the airworthiness certificate has been issued and the test flying has started it is hard to contain the excitement. The employees of Epic made the process, although intimidating, possible. It was my pleasure to work with the craftsmen employed there and take part in the true spirit of aviation. I would offer my thanks and admiration to the team that made this aircraft a reality."
-Jay Beyer N 351 BM

An Epic Moment, 468TT Receives FAA Amateur-Built Status
The 7th Epic LT passes its airworthy evaluation, the second aircraft in two weeks.

December 19, 2006, Bend, Oregon - Serial number 012 took to the skies this morning having received its certificate of airworthiness yesterday.  FAA representative, Jim Alexander from Gold Hill, Oregon evaluated the turboprop.

Owner Mac Lewis is at the Bend build center this morning to witness first flight of his aircraft. He says, "[building the Epic] has been a great experience. Just over 9 months after I started the build program I am ready for first flight. I picked the EPIC-LT for obvious reasons; cruise speeds are close to small jets and with much better operating costs, great range and a large full-fuel useful load. A great combination of features, unavailable otherwise at almost any price. Considering the capabilities, the cost to acquire an EPIC-LT is practically a "steal". We always hear aviation is a world of compromises .. speed, load, range, cost .. not with the EPIC-LT."

Our ability to customize and build our plane the way we want it is a real treat. Thank you epic for bringing this beautiful aircraft to market. We look forward to  the continuing growth and perfection you have shown  all of us this far. Thanks, Mike Patey. N700MM  Epic#10"
